Very well maintained park with a lot of trails both paved and not. Majority of the path has nice gravel paths. Multiple lakes for fishing and canoeing. Good place to run or walk. Also has several miles of bridle trail. Coneflower trail can get muddy in the fall.

Plenty of parking, well kept trails. Plenty of people fishing so it must be a good spot for it

Awesome variety of nature trails with views of lakes, river, prairie, and woods. Pet friendly, fishing, bring your own canoe or kayak. Horse trails also.

We drove 30 mins to attend the owl hike. We were very disappointed when we arrived at the park because there were no signs leading us to Beaver Lake, where the hike was supposed to start. We drove around the park for 20 mins and even got out to knock on the park office door (There were lights on and a car out front) but no one came to answer. We ended up leaving without going on the owl hike (which was advertised on the parks website and I'm Parkscope). I don't know if it actually happened and we couldn't find it due to poor signage, or if it was cancelled and not announced. We are really bummed we drove so far for a neat event and were met with poor planning and no one around. We will not be risking the drive for an activity at this park again.

So much to do.... Wonderful hiking trails and staff walks the grounds to make sure people are not being idiots.

Lovely experience for my pup. I picked it for the water and my little lab loved running around the trails, gretting others, and pretending to be an otter ♡
